Now the work begins! We will additionally review technical product specifications that apply that particular category like: water flow rate, construction materials, filtration effectiveness for a particular contaminant, capacity, product dimensions, and more.

The review process can include testing the physical product, contacting the product manufacturers to request specific and accurate product information, interviewing professionals in the field for a boots on the ground perspective, and gathering real-time verified reviews. Please note, we may not personally test every product ourselves, however, when we do, we will indicate this within our review.

The last step is to consolidate all the results from our information gathering stage to rank the products according to the results. We will share all of our information with you in our final reviews published on freshness.com and on YouTube. What Our Star Ratings Mean

The star ratings we use are intended to provide a quick summary of a product’s review findings in an easily-digestible visual.

They are not comprehensive and are based on factors that are most applicable to any given product like: price, performance, maintenance, durability, consumer reviews, and personal experiences. You should consider it a composite of the most important factors based on our subjective and objective review findings.

Star reviews are also relative to the product’s competitors. Meaning if a product has a 4 star rating and its competitor has a 5 star rating, it should not be broadly compared against all products, but that we believe the relevant competitor’s product has a higher composite score.
